Is your company resilient?
The CER Directive: Physical Security from a Risk Management Perspective
The European CER Directive introduces new requirements for operators of critical infrastructure. The focus is on enhancing resilience against both physical and hybrid threats. In an era of increasing uncertainty, we recommend reviewing your current security installations and organisational setup to ensure compliance with the directive’s security-related aspects concerning resilience and independence.
What Is Resilience – and Why Does It Matter?
The Centre for Societal Security and Resilience (SECURE) defines resilience as the ability to prepare for, withstand, and recover from strategic shocks — whether military or non-military in nature. Resilience also acts as a form of deterrence, making it harder for adversaries to achieve their objectives. The more resilient an organisation is, the less attractive it becomes as a target.
Our Approach to Resilience
At our Centre of Competence, we work strategically to strengthen the ability of both society and businesses to resist and manage disruptions. We combine deep technical expertise with strategic insight to develop tailored solutions that match your risk profile — and support the security requirements embedded in current directives.

NIS2 and CER – The Foundation for Organizational Resilience
NIS2 and CER are two EU directives that ensure a high common security level within critical infrastructure across the EU.
The directives affect businesses and public institutions involved in or supplying critical infrastructure, including utilities (electricity, water, heating, sewage), healthcare, transportation and logistics, food production, ports, and many more.
The directives cover not only cybersecurity but also essential elements related to authorized access (access control), physical security, and monitoring.
We can help equip your business with part of the necessary documentation through our service and inspection reports. This can assist in meeting the mandatory inspections in accordance with the Danish Working Environment Authority’s Regulation No. 428, as well as the requirements of the NIS2 and CER directives.
Contact us today to learn how we can help you comply with the requirements of the NIS2 and CER directives.
